if it comes on tv I will watch as long as it is not a dink fest. I wished they would weigh all fish & take the 5 biggest.

Im very skeptical about it and as of now Im thinking it will be dumb trying to watch 40 guys this trying to catch as many 1pounders as they can. Im am hoping that my mind is changed once it comes out but until they change it to the 5 biggest or come up with some way to give more credit to bigger fish Im thinking thats probably not gonna happen.

I feel sorry for the boat officials if they have to give a score tracker update every time 1 of 40 fishermen catch a fish and I bet the fishermen will get really annoyed with it roflmao

Cool concept and great innovation for the entire industry. I was talking to a friend who is fishing it this year and one of his fellow anglers a few weeks ago and the biggest thing is these guys now get a chance to make a lot better income for themselves without playing for each other's money. Make a better living, like the top 1% of any industry, sport or trade should in our country. They have a greater chance at stability and are able to not worry about if they have money for their mortgage or feed their families.

They have been the "dancing chicken" and BASS and FLW have been at the controls of the fire for way too long.

How do you try to catch 1 pounders? They will catch a lot of 1 pounders on Conroe but I generally catch big fish on the same bait I catch smaller fish.

This sounds like my style of pleasure fishing. Catch as many and whatever size you can and hope a big one will show up.

I liked it when they didn't prefish, they were scrambling and really anxious but they liked the concept enough to start their own Tour and get the financial backing.

It's just a different way to tournament fish and I'll watch it.

Prepare for the future-it will be here tomorrow.

I dont think they planned it out well enough. Seems like they are constantly changing something

Hmmm that definitely could be their downfall, I saw this quote by Gary Klein
Quote
Our rules are a living document and they will evolve, Klein said. As we move through this process, competitors or viewers will already see the 2019 BPT rules are a little different than the Cup rules and World Championship rules.

Klein said itll be possible for rules to be altered or added once the season gets rolling.

...does that not sound like a recipe for disaster?

I just changed my cable and now have the Outdoor Channel. Catching a bunch of 1# fish isn't the most exciting thing to watch. Remains to be seen if can draw the sponsor money over a extended period of time. It's a make or break deal.

MLF has continued to evolve over time since it first started. BPT will go through the same evolution. All the naysaying is insane. Just let it play out and watch it unfold. Theres some very smart and talented people in Tulsa and the core group of anglers have been around for a while. Im sure theyll figure it all out. Its a much needed and welcomed shake up in the industry.

This should be fun to watch and see it all unfold.

You find an area full of small fish, where males have moved in and the females havent moved up yet and you can catch a whole pile of them and not one actual 16 keeper. Especially if you put on something like a finesse worm.

Justin Lucas caught an 11 pounder, Zach Birge an 8 and Kelly Jordan posted a pic of a big one in practice. It's Florida, they're going to catch some big ones.

I'm excited for it to kickoff today. I'm at work so I won't be able to watch all that much, but I'll have it up on my phone and listening with headphones.
