It's obviously still raw for you. But I think Legend is the only Brand they have ever done that too.

What about Stratos and Champion?

Stratos is around still.
Platinum Equity killed off Champion
ProCraft & Astro were still produced for almost a decade before going under.

So, I believe Legend is the only one they did that too.

...Uh, Astro, Procraft, Stratos, and thats just the bass boat brands, Johnny Morris is a brand consolidating master.

Do some more research bud. ProCraft/Astro died a natura death. JM kept it in production for almost a decade but sales declined across the entire industry. Forcing many brands to change ownership and go away.

Economics of the industry is not the doing of JM.

I do not have a dog in the fight as I am not a Triton owner but my BIL is and I have fished out of his TRX 20 a number of times. If I were wishing to replace my Skeeter the Triton brand would be the first place I looked. The boat is stable, fast, and a pretty good fishing platform. Fit and finish is also top notch.

I have owned several Triton boats, they are as good as any of them out there, I think they are the total package, performance, ride, layout, etc, and I really doubt they are going to be phased out.

The carpets are good and all the hinges are in tack. For an 18 year old boat it's holding up well. The only thing that I would do different is go bigger for the larger front deck and better ride in the rough water. If this is the boat that fits your budget and in the garage I would go for it. Is that a '64 in your garage?

I love these post! When stratus were getting ready to be shut down I called it and got called an idiot theyre too nice of boats, blah blah blah now theyve been out for years

Same thing two years ago, when Jordan Lee announced he wouldnt be in a legend for 2018, I knew They were done too. Then all the legend lovers (Dax Davis where ya at) said the same thing. Oh theyre such amazing boats they would be stupid to do that, legend isnt going anywhere, I spoke to the factory and they are going to continue to produce them and blah blah blah now they goneeeeeee.

So here it is for the 3rd time, and Im gonna make it 3 for the 3. Triton is looking at their last 1-2 years to produce boats. Cue all the triton lovers, I heard The same thing from the Stratos and legend lovers with blinders on.

They are building Legends and Triton boats in the same factory now.

Dealers have been told back in December... that they could not take anymore orders for 2018 Legends, Temporarily. Dealers are being notified this week that the factory is now back in full production mode after the Christmas shut down.

This is the truth from Legend Management! So stop all the BS going around that Legend has closed their doors, that was started by Legend haters. Some people just can't handle the truth...

I really do not care if they do discontinue Triton, I am going with another brand because I do not have a dealer close by, just curious as to why you think they are gone in 1-2 years ? They make a really nice boat and it seems to fit in with JM plans, he has the more luxury boat with Ranger, the sports car boat with Triton, and the more affordable boat with Nitro.

You may be right, you may be wrong. The numbers of Triton boats compared the the other two brands you mention arent even close to comparison. They are bringing back the older fast TR hull, and that info is not heard from through the grapevine scenarios. BBC talk was they wouldnt be producing the 19s but they are out and are better product than the last few years. Dont break your arm patting yourself on th back calling two below average boat companies for their demise, that was a simple assumption they were gone.
