Fished Dunlap yesterday from 3p to 6p. Fished from my Kayak. Caught three very nice Redear at the creek channel that runs into the river. The fish were in the 10" range and fat. Caught two on a Green/Yellow Rooster Tail and one on a Gold Super Duper Lure.(Thanks Vogey for the tip). Finished the day over by the I-35 boat ramp wake zone. Caught some nice Bluegill in the 8" range using the Green/Yellow Rooster Tail. Fish were in 6 to 8 feet of water. Current has slowed down a lot. All fish were released. woot

Laker...Good report. Is the creek you are talking about the one by the Marriott or the one further down where the treated wastewater comes in ? This time last year I watched a guy catch bass after bass by the second one. He was using shad or shiners he had netted up the creek earlier in the day. He also told me that at times you could catch gigantic stripers at that creek if you fish further out in the river channel. Also good to hear the current has slowed...will try and hit it next week if the weather isn't too bad...

Vogey: The creek is the one that runs to the water plant. I have caught some of my nicest bass at the mouth of that creek during the winter time.
