When in Manhattan, I try to get to Cafe du Soleil for lunch.

For only 35 bucks you can get a very good three course meal.

Fraunces Tavern on pearl street is really cool, its where Washington bid farewell to his troops. Had live Irish band playing, good food, cold beer.

It was surprising that a high end steakhouse had seating where you bump elbows with people next to you. Space is limited in NYC.

There's a little hole in the wall in Chinatown called Tasty Hand-pulled Noodle. It looks a little shady, and smells a little funny when you walk in. Also the staff is kind of rude. The wonton noodle soup is the BEST I've ever had, and it'll set you back around $6.00. Also Junior's in Times Square has a decent cheesecake.

for a sit-down pizza place, there's a great place called John's on the South side of 44th st about halfway down the block between 8th & 7th.

I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us.
