Cioppino would be my 2nd choice and that pic is from the famous Tadich Grill It is, I had the opportunity to eat there when I visited for work last fall. I tried making it at home...it was uh...not quite as good .

Italians have some good comfort food like what Sawhorse mentions. Spaghetti. Just a regular, ground beef, Ragu, made on the stovetop spaghetti meal shared with little kids. Ive yet to meet a little kid that doesnt love the stuff. This meal is one of lifes little gifts! I like a Spicy Penne Arrabbiata with heavy garlic and sliced sausage. Thin crust pizza is good. But I don't eat much Italian.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart

Restaurants can make very strong seafood stock that the home cook cant duplicate and the freshest seafood is another subject Ive been to the Tadich Grill, a true San Francisco landmark
