I am going to fish media,ignition, and champs on cedar creek lake. My question is and maybe it is weird but can I go up to other competitors and introduce myself to get to know them.

I think weigh in's are a good place to meet other anglers. Sometimes just hanging around and listening to some of the conversations will give you a clue on who might be approachable and who wouldn't. I once was fishing in the same area as another competitor and at weigh in he ended up in 2nd place and I ended up in 4th. I went over and congratulated him and we struck up a conversation about our day. We eventually got to talking at each tournament and a couple of years later ended up fishing some tournaments together and is a good friend to this day. Getting to know a couple of guys here and there will eventually cause you to meet their buddies and the list will grow.

I found long ago when people ask you where you caught them or what did you catch them on.I just tell the truth that way my mind is clear and besides they never believe you anyway lol. Even if they do believe you they want have the same way of using there baits .Then they think you lied anyway lol
