I had Kevin with Shamrock rods build me a custom rod using the MHX SB-812 6'9" rod blank specifically for spinnerbait/chatterbait fishing. I immediately loved the rod for this technique and then started using it for other rigs, Senko, Flukes etc and it worked really good for those also. Good all around rod. Wanted another rod for other techniques a little longer and got him to build me one using the MB-843 7' blanks and pretty much using it for everything else like Texas rig, jigs etc.

I like my Falcon Bucoo Trap Caster. It's a 7' Med Hvy. The Bucoo Finesse Jig rod also makes a pretty spinnerbait rod

I like the Dobyns Sierra Series SA 684C or the SA 704C for spinnerbaits. If I'm fishing in and around cover the 684C is perfect for getting your spinnerbait in tighter places.

7'6? med heavy moderate... It keeps them buttoned up good on spinner baits and is a good crank bait rod for 2.5" sq bills, rattle traps, deep divers etc.

6'9" med x fast for around docks and tight quarters, this is also a good jerk bait rod, Since I started using the above longer one I dont think Ive ever used this one again.

KVD Spinnerbait Rod. It has the right amount of flex to allow the fish to inhale the bait but yet still get a good hook set. My percentage of landing fish has really gone up since I started using this rod.

Tbass those are the exact rods I’ve built also and for same techniques. Building another at 7’3” heavy for flipping/pitching at Falcon. Love those MHX blanks. Going to try a X-day from North Fork for CR and TR next.

I had Kevin build me a 7'3" rod that I was going to use for Carolina rigging and when I got it I also was using it for heavy flipping but the rod was just a little too heavy for me to use on an all day flipping day but should be perfect for some Falcon flipping. So it has now turned into my Umbrella rig rod and I decided to just use the 7' rod for my flipping, besides my need for fighting a really big fish is so few and far between these days and these 65 year old bones need to be as comfortable as possible. Also even the 7' rods and the 6'9" 812 rods have some really stout backbone to them.
