The people who download a certificate or buy a vest just so they can take their dog with them wherever they go and not because they need the dog for a valid reason are terrible. My moms best friend talked about doing it several years ago and Im glad she didnt.

I could care less what people do with their service animals as long as it doesn't bother me.

Rental property is a problem. I own a very small apartment complex that for years has been no pets. Now, I cannot, as a landlord, refuse a tenant because they need a support animal. Explaining that to tenants that have been told for years they cannot have a pet is difficult. The support animal scam is completely out of control.

My niece paid $50.00 to certify her dog as " emotional support " to avoid a $ 400. non refundable deposit on her apartment.

My niece started training service animals (dogs) two years ago while she is in high school. Don't know if it is like this everywhere but for their training she is required to have the dog with her 24/7.
I have been with her on family vacations and get togethers, out to eat at restaurants and just about everywhere and never has been an issue.

God bless the people who truly need this. But like every thing else people abuse the system. Just like people who park in handicap spots without placards or ride around in motor carts with chiaha in basket with them. Needs to be enforced more strictly

I have no problem with this, nor with the people that end up using the animals she trains. But Fifi from the pet store with a vest that says service is just not the same.

I've got a buddy that has a bird dog and he hunts all around the state. He has an internet certificate just so the dog can stay in hotels with him. I don't blame him for taking advantage of the system, but the system is pretty crazy.
