Hey all, 2019 is gearing up to be my first season where i can actively fish a few tournaments. I am doing plenty of research on all the events that come in my area. I was just wondering what YOUR personal favorite tournament trail or event is in Texas. I am looking for a couple of good ones on my home lake(s). Besides bass champs, what are a few other events I can research into? I am not very interested in a good ol' boy club tournament vibe. My main area of interest would be in the north(eastish) side of Texas.

Thanks!!

You should try some good ole boy tourneys. There are some REALLY good anglers fishing them.

I fish Bassmaster Opens, Bass Champs, and a good old boy group.

I like em all. Anytime money is on the line, its more fun.

TTO is an extremely well run trail and the competition is just as stout as you will find anywhere.

The reference to good ol boy tournaments was in no way intended to be offensive. I just am not interested in joining any particular club currently!

Fish for a Cure tournament benefiting the American Cancer Society would be a good one to keep in mind.
Lake Ray Hubbard October 27, 2019 at Bass Pro Shop.
A lot of fun and a ton of donated prizes for the raffle. This will be the 4th annual and it gets bigger and better every year.

Fishing for Freedom on Belton just for the sake of who it is for and what it is about.

If I lived east I would fish outlaw outdoors
Booker at TTZ does a great job I wish he had better turnouts in north
TTO is a well run deal
Of course champs and TTT

All these have good turnout for most part and slightly different rules for practice times, payouts, price points, championship formats. All these are ran by good peeps who know what they are doing.

Then there is Media, as long as it's an event Tommy runs I'll fish beyond that I'm not saying anything.

Really tough to beat Basschamps.. they're the creme of the crop but since you said other than Champs, then I'd vote TTO. Very well run, optional side pot entry for more money if you wanna pay a higher entry, great schedule, and some of the best anglers in the area fish this one.

Individual Trails are few, as stated above, Media runs several Circuits to fit almost anyone's schedule. For Team Circuits w/ Championship, the Texas Team Trail always has 200-300 entries, and multiple Sponsor/ Bonus programs available for added money incentives.

Don't take it as a negative, I can't really say anything out there as I don't fish those, my comment is more for this side of state. Maybe I should say I can't speak for those divisions out east. On this side I'll fish the events Tommy runs.
