ok--cannot simultaneously transmit any more than 2 sonar frequencies + the two structure scan frequencies--"Pages" will only allow you to drop in 2 sonar screens then it's not available any more--so no 4 split of all the sonar frequencies. So are you saying that you can have both 455Khz and 800kHz StructureScan frequencies transmitting at the same time? I didn't think that was possible.

I have been unable to get two different frequency Structurescan at the same time. First 3D only has 455 Totalscan scan has 455/800 but I cannot get it to run but one frequency at a time I mounted a HDI with my 3D transducer hopping I could get 800 in DI and 455 in SI at the same time that way. I still can only run one frequency in Structurescan If it possible someone please let me know. I like 800 in di.

Many thanks MAK747--i couldn't find that tech bulletin but the search did lead me to discussions of Live Network Sonar and how it would only work with software update 56 and above (which Gen2Touch doesn't have--by Lowrance's choice i imagine). However, when you say i can display two different frequencies from the same transducer are you saying the Totalscan can generate 83 and 200 simultaneously as well as the 455/800 for the structure ? If so i guess that's a decent consolation prize. Yes you can view all four if you set up a 4 split screen 83 and 200 on sonar and 455 and 800 on di and si I was wrong about that. I can get split sonar but not structure. Cannot do it with the SS3D Many thanks MAK747--i couldn't find that tech bulletin but the search did lead me to discussions of Live Network Sonar and how it would only work with software update 56 and above (which Gen2Touch doesn't have--by Lowrance's choice i imagine). I was on the lake yesterday and broke the small transducer of my Lowrance Carbon at the mounting loop. It was HST WSBL 80 - 200 hz. Now that I will need to replace it with a new transducer, I am trying to get an idea if I need one different than the HST WSBL 80 - 200 hz. I dont have much knowledge with these so I am asking for recommendations or for material to expand my knowledge for an informed decision. Another option that crossed my thoughts was to glue the broken HST-WSBL in the hull? Is that a possibility? I put this post in the general area but I think that may have not been the right place.

Assuming you already have a StructureScan ducer, you may want to look at the HDI with CHIRP. Thats what I run with the StructureScan 3D.

Wanting to buy a new Lowrance unit for my boat. Been looking at getting the Hook2 7split shot. The thing is I want something with maps. I go to Alabama every year and would like to have a good map on my unit. Is the unit with the built in inland charts good or should I get the one with Nav plus charts included. Should I get the cheaper of the 2 and then buy a upgraded map. Thanks for the help, Steve

You are saving quite a lot of money buying the bundle

Was not after side scan but was as cheap as Hook .

Yes, use an Ethernet cable and theres not problems with this combo. Edit: clarify something. You only want to see what the gen3 is showing, you dont want to use the totalscan on the gen2s?
