These are the 2 major brands of Liquid Smoke. Do you use liquid smoke in your sauces? If you haven't used liquid smoke at all but may want to give it a try...would you want to use a brand that is pure product or a product with a bunch of other ingredients thrown in? If you have been using COLGIN's, that's exactly what your using...a product with other goodies in the formula. Wright's is pure smoke flavored water, made from a distillation process just like whiskey stills !! Wright's comes in 3 flavors, Hickory,Mesquite, and Applewood (which contains a bit of Maple too). I have noticed that most food stores don't carry all three flavors. A 3.5 oz. bottle usually runs about $1.40 but a lot more if bought online. I think I will try Wrights......and compare. It's potent, so use only a few drops from what I read.
