What he said. The ramp isnt always the best, but at the moment its working fine. However with the water being this high there isnt much trailer parking.

Its the Bandera County Park, its at the end of park road 37 in Plum Creek. It is almost always usable, however the ramp can be very flat at a lot of water levels. You can almost always launch from shore or just angle off the side of the ramp and be fine though.

Sunday fishing was tough on the 10 teams competing, not a single keeper was weighed in. Cold front hit early that morning with rain and north winds. However the monies from that event went into the charity fund for the "working dogs of the military".

Lake elevation is 2.9 ft low as of this morning, awesome for the lake !

As clarified already there is no State Park on Lake Medina.

Medina Lake Fishing Report
Saturday Nov 24th
Cloudy to partly cloudy
Light wind WSW to SW
Water temperature 60F-63F
No thermoclines observed

The fish have fled the lake. They are non-existent. Fish somewhere else. The End.

I fished Choke on Friday. No complaints here. Club tournament coming up and I've got my area picked and the net on the deck.

Well something sure must have changed then, Ive talked to several guys and nobody is catching them there. Id have to think youre fishing pretty deep if you really found fish.

When is this tournament?

I was throwing a YM over grass and hydrilla in 6 to 8 feet of water. On the outside edge of the grass and hydrilla it drops off into a creek channel. Thats where I will be running deep. Threw crank baits, worms, creatures, spinnerbaits, and went to my favorite (Yellow Magic) over that grass and here they come. Caught some off the top of the old tank dams. Nothing big, just keepers. Club tournament is 12/8 and 9.

The mouth of the Medina river. Was driving at night and thought I was in the channel but apparently not.

I was out there last weekend and the fishing was way off. I just wrote it up to all the new water and the cold front. For anyone thinking about going out there be aware of things in the water as Medinalakeguy posted earlier. I saw several logs and other things floating. When I can see 3' of a log is hanging out of the water in 50' what's underneath the water? There is no way I would be going out there when it was dark until everything settles to the bottom.
