Betts Premium cast net vs Bait buster? I'm looking at buying 1 of them. I'm looking at the 7' 12/in mesh and 1.5lb per foot. Price is about the same. Hand line on the BB is only 25ft. Not sure on the Betts. I've thrown the BB before and liked it but was wondering if anyone has thrown the premium Betts. I won a 7' ahi 5/8 taped cast net for dirt cheap and am going to use that as a backup. Thanks for any input

I throw Betts Blue nets. Only thing I dont like is the wrist loop. But the nets are tough. Super tough.
I have 2 super spreaders that I like too. IMO they all throw good once you soften them up with use.
I wish the Betts had an elastic wrist loop. I did try a Mako brand I bought off Amazon. I was happy with it for the price I just tore it up fast. I'd definitely buy another one.

Ive thrown several Betts and Bait Buster nets. The Betts premium is in the Old Salt line of nets. Its a target style net that wont completely open (thats just how target nets are made). You were probably looking at the Betts Super Pro net. They are six panel nets, just like Bait Buster nets, and will fully open. They are much better nets than the old salt premium. I have a Betts Old Salt premium and a Betts Super Pro now. The Super Pro is a much better net and is very similar to the Bait Buster. Can you post links to the ones you were looking at?

Bait Buster is my choice. They are well built, sink fast, and open very easily. I use the 7'- 1.5#/ft and have them in 3/8" and 5/8" mesh. One of the things I like the most is the braille lines are easily replaceable, and the nets will still open good after you patch them.

Those are both great nets, almost identical. You'd be happy with either one.
