His post definitely will be missed. It sure is a sad day to loose an OT great, as I felt like I knew him but never met him. It saddens my heart, and he will be missed. Now Gpa no need to be grumpy, and go catch you some fish!

No better way to start the day than to read an unfiltered G-Pa post

RIP G-Pa

I have been thinking and it's been almost 10 years since I met Charlie at the TFF Christmas party. It's been a few hours since I first read the news and it's still hard to process. Yes, he was cantankerous at times, but I'm sure it was more out of a frustration at the circumstances he was in. You had to love his spirit, though. He was always up for a good pot stirring and fried chicken. God speed, GPA. May the pontoon be well equipped, the lines be tight, and the fish all be record weights.

One of the OT greats. Always entertaining. He will be missed. First ballot OT Hall of Famer...should one exist.

RIP Gpa.

I was afraid to open this thread for fear it might be exactly what it is. He was a staple here, a longtime poster and pot stirrer for sure, but a good hearted man I know as we did have some great friendly banter. Rest in Peace and sincere sympathies for his family.

We probably should have a "Favorite GPa Thread". Mine would be from quite a few years ago when he got stuck in the mud at Lake Tawakoni.

That was the first thing that came to my mind. That or his failed belly boat fishing adventure.
