His post definitely will be missed. It sure is a sad day to loose an OT great, as I felt like I knew him but never met him. It saddens my heart, and he will be missed. Now Gpa no need to be grumpy, and go catch you some fish!

R.I.P. prayers up for you and your family . Thank you for posting,please give us an update on arrangements . I like many other TFF'ers read his post,always curious about what he was complaining about that day.

I have been thinking and it's been almost 10 years since I met Charlie at the TFF Christmas party. It's been a few hours since I first read the news and it's still hard to process. Yes, he was cantankerous at times, but I'm sure it was more out of a frustration at the circumstances he was in. You had to love his spirit, though. He was always up for a good pot stirring and fried chicken. God speed, GPA. May the pontoon be well equipped, the lines be tight, and the fish all be record weights.

I was afraid to open this thread for fear it might be exactly what it is. He was a staple here, a longtime poster and pot stirrer for sure, but a good hearted man I know as we did have some great friendly banter. Rest in Peace and sincere sympathies for his family.

Oh my, very heart breaking. Prayers to GPA and to all the family. I always looked forward to reading his postings. I guess the most recent posting is when he got out of the hospital and was looking for fried chicken. I laughed so hard at that posting. GPA, you will be missed. We probably should have a "Favorite GPa Thread". Mine would be from quite a few years ago when he got stuck in the mud at Lake Tawakoni. That was the first thing that came to my mind. That or his failed belly boat fishing adventure.

I am so sorry to hear this. I’ll miss him as well.  My condolences to your family and our TFF OT family will be forever changed by his passing. Take a deep breath, Grandpa, and go fishing.
