This is what I use when I go kayak fishing. It measures both temp and depth.

That is perfect and just what I am looking for , a little pricey but will ask for one for Christmas.
I fish a few creeks and some walk in spots to, you would be surprised what a few degrees temp, or a siginificant drop change in depths makes in these small waters. Yesterday was creek fishing and 1st hole water temp was 58, second one was 55 ( in the shade)....thats where the fish were!!!
