I have been out of town working and haven’t been able to fish since before the rain. I was on a pretty decent bite before I left. Is the lake worth fishing or is it still too muddy? I am also wondering if you can get a boat in at Lake Whitney and if so which ramp. I sure would appreciate it if someone with a little more knowledge on the current lake conditions could chime in. Thanks in advance Truman!

Live shad and put it right on em. Chase the bait pods and fish close to structure. Gotta pick their nose with a jig to get them to bite it in this muddy situation.

Like Thunk said, it’s ugly water right now. Going to be that way for awhile.

Right now full of muddy water from dam to tintop. fishing for anything but catfish is a lot of work.

Well I’ve been looking and racking my brain on what to do. I’ve finally decided to give it a full send Tuesday and try. I’d rather be out there fishing than sitting here thinking about it. I’ll make sure to bring some cat rods if I can’t convince a few line sides to play along. Thanks guys for the information, also is there anywhere on Lake Whitney to launch a boat? Wanting to try out there before I head back to work!

look for cleaner water (feeder creeks) in the river. use shad catch cats and striper.
