I was on the lake and saw them make 10 passes or so while I fished in the distance. Trace came over and asked me if I minded him making passes in that area while I fished, I said no carry on. Trace was courteous and was more than capable of operating that boat.

Oh and if you need my resume, I actually operate a fire boat on Ray Hubbard for the Dallas Fire Dept and have 29 years experience in the fire and rescue business. So I may know a little something about operating boats and may have had an extensive amount of training in boat operations as well as many many many hours of experience.

I must have left that area shortly before the incident happened. Glad everyone is good!

I even have a cool video I took on my phone of one pass. laugh

Thanks Doug. It was a pleasure to meet you, I thought you were a myth... hehehe. Yes it happened about 10 minutes after you pulled out. On the last pass guys, this is it. I had just run 99.3.
Anyone that wants a video of the pass can text me at the number in my sig the video cut right before it happened however.

how far do you think you bounced?
did the water blow your eyelids open?
I have had some insane hits at 45 to 50 wake boarding and knee boarding, but I can't imagine 100.
You had to have skipped a dozen times

I landed close to 120 feet past the boat. It pitched me.... helmet and helmet guard on the lifeline saved a lot of the water around my head. Tore the faceshield off and the helmet up but my head remains intact. At least I think so, my fianc thinks Im uglier after this lol

You are or will be the old man that sprays people fishing your dock with a water hose cuz it's your water and your fish huh? What's wrong with you? You seen stuck on them endangering someone else and breaking laws. Who did they endanger and what laws were broken. Go ahead and let us know. Cuz based on the o.p. and a witness account all seems pretty well thought out with no one else at risk minus the 2 people in the boat.

And if you have an issue with 1 guy pushing 100 on a lake YouTube "jasper river run" bet your head explodes.

Stay off my fish Doug.

T-racer-Good to hear you're ok. Sounds like you were properly prepared for an incident while testing the go button on the Bullet. thumb

And to the O.P. I'm sure with you having this set up and knowing what you know that this will just be a set back. I know what you mean by speed is relative to boats. I've been 91 in a stroker. I can only imagine breaking 3 digits in a bass boat. Was your bullet stripped or was that fishing setup?

I saw this boat run on a video posted on Facebook. Looks like a great running boat the driver had it maxed out...almost.

Glad you werent hurt. Did it do any damage to the boat. I hooked my Bullet at about 80 and hung on for dear life. Bent the steering wheel a bit, but I was surprised the boat survived without any issues.

100 mph in boat does wiggle my pants a little bit. Then again, I grew up on and off the racetrack most of my life. Id skim a hundo but I run a ranger... I get the fuzzies when I pop 70 mph.

It sounds like this was well planned and probably a good time at 99.6. Glad you guys are ok.
