Well round up lost a suit for not disclosing stuff when maintenance guy got cancer, so I’m sure whatever was used is toxic. I remember few years ago launching and seeing at least 30-40 3+# fish filleted at the ramp 2 days in a row.
I love Toledo, but almost feel like it is a lost cause to even stick Florida strain and wish they would stock NA strain as a trial basis for 5 years.

Dude....Read what I posted... exactly what I said.... I don't even believe in coincidence and I was actually there. Yes, I know LMBV is a thing....but it wasn't THE thing....to believe that happened at that exact moment in time is nonsensical.

Supposed to be Salvania but they get everything.

My experience it depends on agency, applicator, and even the area. I have seen areas sprayed for salvinia where after there was nothing left including brush dead along the edge. I also have seen it where they did a great job of controlling salvinia and hydrilla is thriving in the same cove. Different agencies use different applicators and may use different herbicide treatments. Most treatments are contact based and shouldn’t harm anything except what they are spraying. Just in our area we have Sabine River Authority, Corps of Engineers and TPWD spraying. I have seen differences in all their approaches.

Will the zebra musslels that are coming or already there, help control sylvania at all?

I was told by tpw that sra or lwd wants no part of the spraying. It's all contract thru tpw. That was last year

Jaret, does that mean the two players are the Corp and TPWD now? I’m guessing Corp is still doing the work on Rayburn. I used to know a Corp guy that was heavily involved but he moved.

I don't know on Rayburn. I assume it's both entities working together

Probably so. It seems to me the results I see look different on Rayburn than Toledo and Fork.
Less collateral damage.
