Looking for ideas. I was thinking about using 4" PVC cut in to 10" pieces, glue together and fixed in to a plastic crate or box.

Pvc to expensive and way to big not good idea been there done that.
I just do the noodle over small pvc then pour round lead with hole in middle to sit ontop pvc.
Then take milk crate with wire run in checker board pattern on top of crate to hold them neat in crate.
build you 12 4" pvc ones and break out some hundreds and going be heavy. not to mention the room they take up

That�ll work, but I think you can find something cheaper than 4� pvc. The wire across the crate is a good idea.

4" S&D (thin wall sewer & drain) is much cheaper than 4" Schedule 40, as well as less weight.

Another possibility is like noted above (but instead of wire), but rig up 1/2" or 3/4" to mount on top across crate to use as sectioning each noodle separate. 1/2" & 3/4" schedule 40 pipe & parts would be cheaper.

That how I stow mine:

I just bought a plastic storage box with a lockable lid at Lowe's. That way I can stack them in the attic.

I want to keep them separated so they don't get tangled. As for the PVC, I've got a bunch of it sitting around, so just re-purposing.
