Ivie is up 16.37 since Sept 10, it has came up 11.67 since Wed 10/17. The rivers are still flowing 7500cfs. Ivie has not had this much water since 2/28/2011. Jerry how much do you think it will come up?

It depends on if it rains next week. If it doesn`t rain I think we still catch 3 to 4 feet.

Anyone out there that thinks they have Twin Buttes figured out is in for a surprise on their next visit. Your honey holes are now 35 deeper then they were a month ago. Been on it for the last 3 days. Challenging is an understatement.

Looks like Willa may put a bunch of water in those lakes soon.

Looks like Hubbard Creek has topped out at 1.53' low...for now. Will probably fill the next rain or two, all ponds and creeks are full.

Still Some water between Robert Lee and San Angelo that is headed to Ivie. Should maintain some flow for the rest of the week at least. It's not flowing like it was but it's still moving that way.

I looked at Water Data For Texas site early this morning. They showed Ivie to be 25.7 feet low. That is amazing! Hopefully it will come up some more if it rains tomorrow. Excited to get out on the water & check it out.

Hell it was a bigbass factory 5 or so years ago. Yes it was and they are all dead now, no need in coming down here. I know you are playing around with that comment for the most part. The lake record and many sharelunkers were caught 7 to 8 years ago. Do yall think most are really still there or do you think the low water conditions over the past years did kill most of them? All of this new water should really get the lake going again and this spring should be great. I am just wondering what most of yall really think the state of the lake as far as the big fish population really is?

No one really knows. When the good Lord puts water in these West Texas lakes great things begin to happen. Then the pressure of 100's of tournaments comes along; so those good things do not last long. If you are one of the luck ones to have fished these lakes many times under these conditions and know where to go on them then you will do well for that short period of time. Without that knowledge then they can be as tough as any other lake. Great Spawns will take place over the next couple of years to continue the gene pool. We just have to keep our fingers crossed that an Algae Boom doesn't take place on any of the lakes that are coming up in the near future.

Or that CRMWD doesn't suck every last drop of water out of them.

Did the low water kill them? Possibly but cant answer that and be truthful. The number of 6-8lb fish is really good. Seems like the smaller fish numbers are down for me and I think thats the lack of spawn due to no cover from the low lake level. Next years spawn will be unbelievable in my opinion. There are still some big heifers in there, Ive caught a few of them this year! But not as many as I have in years past. Is it because they died or did the move out in the river channel and stay out there? I cant honestly answer that question but this water coming in will do nothing but help in the long run and we will catch some more with this rain today.

Dont jinx us by mentioning Algae Bloom. Ivie had one a few years ago and Spence had one last winter. The bloom was very small if anything, the major problem at that time was the chemical that was dumped in the river.
