Thursday night (October 11, 2918)
Lake Stamford is flooded (3.8 feet above spillway level). Many cabins have water up to their doorsteps and several have water within the cabins. Anchor Inn has water up to the doorsteps at the old store and almost at the new store location. People are moving their possessions to higher ground if they can get inside the cabins. The lake quit rising this afternoon, but with the heavy rains expected this weekend everyone expects things to get much worse. These people need your prayers that it does not rain on the Lake Stamford watershed currently, but things do not look good. If you have property or boats on your property you may need to get what you can to higher ground.

Vance Proctor owner of Stamford Marina called this a.m. Vance said the water is up to within 1 inch on the back of his store and within 2 inches of the front on his store. Launching ramp is covered with water and almost completely covers the store parking lot. First of his shelters is over half covered in water. He said several trailer and cabin owners were pulling what they could out of their dwellings.
