We have had E15 for a couple of years. The gas station I usually use put in new E15 pumps last year.
E15 does give less fuel efficiency. Its supposed to be safe for vehicles built since 2001. For vehicles built before the EPA said they need to still use E10.

The only change Trump is trying to make is that the fuel should be produced through the summer. Thats when its supposed to produce more likely to contribute to the formation of smog.
Back when they were first approving E15 a couple years ago there were only a small number of manufacturers that allowed over 10% ethanol in their cars. The only cars that were approved by them was flex fuel cars. They said to stay away or risk not having your warranty honored. I don't know if thats true today.

I think you have your seasons mixed up. Trump wants to allow for the summer blend that has ethanol to used in place of what is now winter blend. At any rate with the red tape this has to go through to get approval from the EPA it will probably be years before we ever see it. The way I read it right now the wholesalers are not allowed to blend over 10% in the winter fuel right now. I have never seen a E15 label on a pump. Murphy Mart in Rockwall now has ethanol free. That is what I am running in boat and all my small 2 cycle engines including the Polaris ATV. Have not had any problems with the 4 cycle on the lawn tractor so I may just continue to run primarily E10 in it. Problem with Murphy Mart is maneuvering a 22' boat in there is a little tough and even worse when douchebags decide to park blocking pumps and eat lunch.
