I feel like a lot more people will be seriously looking to qualify. I'm curious to see who the next crop will be and how consistent they will be

So in the future their will only be 14 more anglers finishing at the top level. That's only overall numbers; I'm talking about turnover within the Elite field. Out of the 110 Elites that started the season, 42 aren't moving to MLF, presumably returning to B.A.S.S. That means that there'll be 38 new spots (80 - 42) on the Elite series...

Whoever has the best presentation will survive.
On-line live stream is key. Cable channel is little interest to me.
I don't like fishing to be superseded by corn hole finals but I understand airtime ain't cheap.

I will five them that Really? Where do I find the results and pay outs for the last six years? Chris, you know how absurd that is. They dont have the history yet as you well know. This is a great deal for the angler. You know I traveled with an Elite for 5 years and watched first hand how IMPOSSIBLE it was to make a decent living fishing. We acquired a new truck in Feb. 2013, June 15 2013 tha truck had 40,000 miles on it. We slept in every flea bag you could imagine at around $60.. a night. With $43000.00 a year entry fees and around $60000 a year expenses how is an angler supposed to make a decent living? Bassmaster classic used to pay $500,000, now it is $300,000. BASS got greedy, increased entry fees and lessened the purse. These anglers is who the fans were following, not BASS. if you want to follow your dream at an out pocket expense at a minimum $100,000. Now that they have a little completion they have changed their entry fees and payout. Dont get me wrong BASS is a great format. However, consider what Jerry McKinnis stated on Facebook Let them leave BASS, the only one missed will be KVD. In a nutshell they were actually using the the anglers.

Those who think it will be "weaker competition" has been in front of the TV to long, and not enough time on the water. I assure you, there are many as good, if not better than the popular names we have become familiar with. It will just as competitive. It's all in how they spin it on the TV,(marketing) that will make or break it. IMO

The MLF has been around for the last 6 years. Why do they keep everything a big secret? I cant find any results for all these tournaments they have been putting on, much less the payouts. Do I have to pay to view the results? It seems more like a reality TV show than a tournament circuit right now. And yes I agree Jerry Mckinnis made a stupid comment that hopefully he regrets.

The key is where the Sponsorship money and advertising ends up.
If your Seth Fieder in terms of making a living you have to love no net entry money, less competition in numbers, and guys that have been ahead more than you have been ahead them leaving. You hate to see the guys that haven't really been much of a factor leave. Then throw more prize money it looks real good.
The issue is what your income is from Sponsors and can you retain it or at least retain enough to come out better. Maybe in year one not much of a issue. Then it depends how long your contract is and whether you can get it renewed. A bunch of these sponsor contracts are year to year or maybe a couple of years.
