Is the Terry Park ramp good to use right now? Never fished Hubbard when it's this low. Thanks.

I launched there Friday and you'll need a ladder to get to the courtesy dock form your boat if you plan on anchoring to it. Lake is about 3' low. I was able to stand on my trolling motor and throw a leg up on top and climb up but I'm very athletic dontcha know.

I launched there a couple of weeks ago and on the southern most ramp side my motor hit something when I backed it off of the trailer. When I tried to load up my motor would hit something every time I tried to get on the trailer. I had to move my trailer to the other ramp and didn't have any trouble getting loaded

The best free ramp on the lake right now is the ramp on the north side of IH_20 across from Bass Pro. Have heard that there has been some trucks broken into but we have launched there several times in the last few weeks with no problems. Just have to take ur chances.

You do mean I-30. Ive always called it the Chaha ramp. It is a very good ramp that is a use at your own risk. I would rather pay the price at Chandlers or Harbor Bay and have everything as I left it.

I think that's called Jones Park.

Terry park is nice but it seems like it would be difficult to launch solo with the lake down. But as others have said chandlers is nice and safe. Just up to you if it's worth the $20. Its really a shame that such a heavily trafficked has such a crappy ramp situation.
Honestly I like the Hwy 66 ramp when the water is down enough to close the center ramp. Knocks traffic way down and you can pull the boat up on the center ramp. Just kinda sketchy idling out.

Harbor bay and chandlers do they have courtesy docks for launching solo that are accessible with low water?

Only way I'd pay $20 to launch at Ray Hubbard is if they had free hot dogs, cokes and dancin' girls on the dock.
