I still remember fishing with you and Ernest Paty. The highlight of my 50+ years of crappie fishing. Only thing better would be fishing with my dad one more time.

What a good person he was for sure always wanting to help others. He taught me a lot about tying jigs, and we had a lot of fun chasing the thump, and making memories together. He was a very close and dear friend of mine and will be missed. Like I told you on Wednesday Jigum when we visited its not good bye, its see you later my friend. RIP Jigum

Had the honor of meeting and knowing Matthew after he moved to the Austin area. Enjoyed the time we spent together over the last year and a half. Had some good laughs eating biscuits and gravy at Ross' Old Austin Cafe. Proud to be able to call him a friend. I have been blessed knowing you and will miss you Matthew.

Matthew was a good and honest man. Made lots of jigs for me a few years back.
Praying for all of his family. He will surely be missed.
I would rather fish than eat and I stay hungry all the time.
REGARDLESS OF HOW MANLY YOU THINK YOU ARE WEARING A PFD CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE....

I truly loved that man, the world lost a gentle giant. Anyone know when the funeral will be? Brian, I read on Matts FB page where his wishes were to be cremated and spread about his favorite fishing lake. No services are scheduled.
