Yamaha 200HP SHO (2014 MFG Date): Manual says use Loctite 572 thread sealant when reinstalling side plate bolts following an oil change. Thus as much as I have found to now, it indicates using it on all bolted connections. Have never used this type Loctite, I don't want bolts falling out but I also want to be able to remove them next time.
What are the forum thoughts and/or recommendations?
Also do you apply to the entire thread surface, leading thread. or near the bolt head.
Last service by dealer technician used a green sealer/loctite near the head of the bolt and they were a bear to get loose.

and should be on the last 1/2 of the bolt threads towards end of bolt.
yes, it's a great idea to use it
EDIT: So , i googled what color is 572 loctite... says it's white!!!

Yes Loctite 572 is white low strength.

You can get it as places like Fastenal (where I ordered it) or online thread locker LOCTITE
572 is designed for the locking and sealing of metal
pipes and fittings. The product cures when confined in the
absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and
prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. The
thixotropic nature of LOCTITE
572 reduces the migration of
liquid product after application to the substrate.
