Sorry everyone, if the SRA wants more "bucks" they simply increase everyone's "taxes" on the water used downstream.
If they build a launch and a park, it's because they need to GET RID of excess money from already taxed money or face legislation that lowers their ability to keep it high or raise further in the future. Bonus is, you get a nice park out of it - publicly funded.. possibly without asking the public if they wanted to fund it.
Down here in Conroe, the SJRA has already gone so crazy that the "taxes and fees" on our water bills are double or more of the actual water usage, which is also unusually high. We didn't get a park though, we got a water pipeline to a neighboring new area that's in another county...

My thought is why do they have to construct at the proposed location? Why not construct right at the office at the dam where they've held other tournaments out of?
The egress and ingress of their proposed location will be a nightmare.

I hate to see it get put where they are proposing. Lots of wildlife in that area. Kinda nice having a little piece of that lake not developed.
I hate photobucket.
