We get the gamut of HR training classes assigned periodically. Harrassment or is it HerAssment in the Workplace covers all this. Watch a video, read a slide show, answer the quiz, etc. I guess it is a good thing. I am afraid to even touch myself in the workplace.

Touching is definitely off limits.
As for compliments, my go to line is "if you wouldn't pay the same compliment to a man don't say it to a woman ". Wow Ms. ___ you sure look handsome today?  So you tell the men you work with "you look handsome today"?

As for compliments, my go to line is "if you wouldn't pay the same compliment to a man don't say it to a woman ".  "You must've been working out - you're chest is looking buff!"?????  I typically do not touch/hug until their last day - and then I'll give them a big thank you hug. It is sad that you can't treat your work family like your home family (for those of us where it is that way). I prefer "are you cold or just glad to see me?". We had a lady that worked here once that was rather top heavy. She got on the elevator in front of a guy that either did not need the job or did not care. He could not resist the temptation to just reach around and grab a couple of handfuls.

I try to keep my comments to women tasteful. Like yesterday I told a woman, I bet you were really attractive before you had those three kids. You cant be too careful these days.

This has kept me out of a lot of hot water. You cant be too careful these days. You must have taken the same harassment course as I did.

This has kept me out of a lot of hot water. You cant be too careful these days. I have fallen into this trap. Look at pic on lady's desk. Me..."Wow! Who is this young lady she is beautiful?" Her..."Urban that's me X years ago when we were on vacation at X spot". Me..."Dam, what happened to you?"

I don't even like loved ones touching me. I've grown to tolerate when the wife wants to cuddle. Still not a fan of people touching me.

I don't even like loved ones touching me. I've grown to tolerate when the wife wants to cuddle. Still not a fan of people touching me. I just tell my wife that I am in training. That way I can't be accused of inappropriately touching other women.
