Our family arranged an Escape Room game night. There were 10 in my family and we split into two groups in 2 different rooms. We went to the one in Rockwall. Gotta say, it was a lot of fun. Kind of like a Treasure hunt game but finding clues to unlock more clues to unlock a door to escape. Very nicely ran place and we had a good time. Anyone else ever done this?

It is a place where you go and pay a fee and they have these rooms setup in a building. Like $20 a person. They show you some videos first of how to play, how to look for clues, etc. Each room has a different theme, like you are in a museum and you have one hour to find a trail of clues to unlock some cabinets and more clues inside, maps, etc. The object is to be able to get the last clue to unlock a door and "escape" in 1 hour. There are lots of different objects in the room and you piece together puzzles as a team. It was pretty cool. My grandsons played and so did my wife, daugthers, son in laws etc. They are monitoring your progress via cameras and have a video screen to give you clues if you get stuck. Good family fun and probably neat to do for work teams, team building kind of things.

Theyve been around for a while now. Kind of a cool concept. Companies use it for team building.

Did the one in Waco a couple of years ago with some friends. Pretty cool for problem solving and looking at things from out of the box. Don't know that I would do it again but was interesting to observe others and how they reacted to the different scenarios presented

My family did one in Waco three years ago. It was at that moment I realized how disfunctional we really are as a unit. I learned a lot about them that day. It made packing my bug out bag a lot easier, and lighter.

Did one last year with the GF and a bunch of her friends. I thought it was quite fun with all of us working together. We almost made it out in time, missed it by one clue to get the code to get out the door. I thought it was a blast.
