 Snake under kids slide --- HELP! what kind is this ????

Found this bad boy under my kids playground slide in backyard. Not sure of his kind, but my daughter just reach under there to get the soccer ball.

I almost got bit by one of those playing golf at the coarse I work at... Scared the bajeebies out of me! They blend in really well, my ball was nearly sitting on him and as I was reaching, I saw and moved. Luckily I moved away as he was striking... I've never shanked the ball that bad since, it fixed my golf game!

Yeah. Wish I could tell you it was a non-poisonous snake, cause I hate it when people kill snakes that aren't dangerous.
Sadly, yeah, that's very obviously a copperhead, and with kids around, if it doesn't leave on it's own, you'll have to make it leave one way or another.
Hope it's already gone and not to be seen again though.

other that getting rid of the rubbish what can keep them going the other way. Got 3 small kids that love outdoors and very curious.

Keep your yard clear of things that they'd like to hide in, and anything that attracts their prey. Mice, rats, etc.

other that getting rid of the rubbish what can keep them going the other way. Got 3 small kids that love outdoors and very curious. I agree on getting rid of trash and other stuff like boards laying around. Maybe some Snake-Away from the hardware store? Or get a cat?

yeah that was my reaction strike with a spade shovel. I also love outdoors and animals, but I had to take that one out. A little to close for comfort.
