I wouldnt have a aluminum boat with spray in foam. That will add 1,000 lbs of weight once it gets water logged. So how do the Glass boats perform that have spray in foam in them?  How do they perform when they get water logged? Are they using closed-cell foam? I get where y'all are going on your logic but closed cell foam will not/can not absorb, wick, hold or trap water within itself. This is why so many commercial, residential and ag insulation companies are going to in flood/hurricane prone areas for these exact benefits. Fill all the voids completely w/closed cell foam and your boat can't hold water. The old open cell foam is a different topic altogether. Yes it is closed cell and that is the reason I questioned the water logged statement.

Tell him Midwest Marine in Harrisonville Missouri has one if he wants to go look at it. They are the Vexus dealer in that area. Awesome that's not far at all from him. I'll let him know!

Spoke with a rep last week and they are focused on getting the tin rigs out at this time. Target dates for glass are next year- late spring early summer. From the sound of it the demand (orders) on the tin boats are ramping up and could slow things down a bit. The biggest difference with these boats is they have a lot of composite material in them. All the storage compartments/rod boxes etc are composite and not aluminum. This adds weight make the boat more stable than traditional aluminum. These guys are all ex- Ranger employees and know how to build a boat. Bank on it....

I bet they already have one or several made and have tested them just waiting for that day to come.

Definitely looks like an awesome platform but I just hate the stability of a tin rig. You see how much it tilts and wobbles as we walks around it? Also the bow is way up high in the air! Makes it difficult to land big fish up front. My old aluminum boat had a very similar stance.

Hmmm, watched the video and the part that shows it crossing the wakes does not show it's landing. Wonder why that is? Hull bottom looks awfully flat to me and other than a bit of bling, I don't really think it's all that revolutionary or impressive.

When are they releasing their glass models? I was told at the Classic in March, so for consumers I would think late March or April, I have one on reserve. I think the tin boats are totally awesome and believe the glass rigs will be really nice, rumor is it will be a pad boat meaning more speed than a Ranger but finished out like one, we shall see. Moved release date back to Jan. on glass models. And to the OP. If it is aluminum it is going to blow around a lot more and ride hard in rough water. Even with the extra weight of the blown in foam. And Ranger uses closed cell foam so I am sure Vexus will also. It would make no sense to use open cell.

Still needing to take the test ride and also wants to see how the new Mercs hold up. He's currently in a 21' Ranger
