This is tragedy beyond belief. It's reminiscent of the church bus collision that killed 13 by a texting druggie in a pickup outside Uvalde. Prayers for all concerned. Including the families of the owners of the tour company.

Just HMO, but storms that produce weather and and rollers like those in the video don't just appear out of nowhere. That cruise should never have taken place, not to mention that the boat was probably obsolete and unseaworthy. It looks to me like 100 percent liability for the owners, which should bankrupt the company and the lives of the owners individually, after all the inevitable lawsuits start rolling in.

Again, my heart grieves for the families of the victims on this tragic day.

It said it was docked and broke away but I don't understand why they had passengers on it during that kind of storm anyway. My Dad drove them in the Army and I remember riding them in Hot Springs as a kid and getting to drive one. Don't understand how they all died. Be interesting to hear about it later after they finish the investigation.

Horrible tragedy. I went on a duck boat tour in Galveston and I gotta say, it was a a litlle bit sketchy.

On the other hand, what the hell do I know? Only that it's a bad situation.

Again, I know its easy(for me too) to say only an idiot would actually get on that dinosaur duck in those or conditions close to that. But how many times have I got on a roller coaster, plane, helicopter, zip line, carnival ride, parasale..... thinking the owner/operator was in control, understood the conditions and basically was putting the guests safety first and foremost? Sad tragic event for all but probable bad choices for the guests that died-probable criminal choices by the operators. Watching that video reminds of some trip from hades in some 3rd world country....not the USA.

tragic situation....this is the second or third large loss of life tragedy with these boats....maybe it's time to look at banning them or at least put some flotation in them to prevent them from sinking(which may not be possible)......

News is reporting that one of the survivors told them the captain said not to worry about life jackets u wont need them, and by the time he said to get life jackets it was to late. I assume they mean when the passengers first got on they were told not to worry about life jackets and the news is trying to make it worse.

Unless you can get out of that boat I think live vest are useless, I am not sure if that boat had windows that would roll down or what, I know the one at Broken Bow has windows that you could get out of, really a messed up deal.

We have had some small severe cells pop up quickly up here in the last two days. Those boats are turtles in the water. I dont know how to look at past radar but I would be shocked if they started out in severe storms. Prayers to all involved. Gods speed to healing.
