Even the little town I live in, there must be a half dozen “pain management” doctors and clinics. They all seem to be doing a booming business. I am sure there is some legitimate patients, but it seems like a business that would be easy to abuse.

I have a couple of immediate family members hooked on opioids. It's a tough situation for sure.

Billy our deepest condolences go out to you and your family. So sad to hear things like this. I lost a nephew several years ago from heroin overdose. Died on his 19th birthday. Bought his first truck the day before. Lived in Yantis.
So sad

Prayers for you and the family. Nothing we can say will ease the pain. I'm sorry you all have to endure this. God bless you all.

The VA is the largest “pain management” clinic in the world. Those asshats don’t know how to actually fix anything so they hand out codeine and Vicodin (gateway drugs) like candy. I finally quit talking to them about pain because all they would do is give me a couple hundred more pills. I had built up a hell of a tolerance to Vicodin and codeine.

I would be interested to see how many veterans get hooked on stuff like that and then progress to heroin, fentanyl, etc.
