I have a good friend from high school that lost her 36 year-old son to an opioid overdose about two months ago. It affected her so much that just after his funeral she had a heart attack and spent almost a week in the hospital.
This is such a serious problem all across this country and I blame the phar. companies and the pain management doctors who don't give a rip about the well-being of their patients, and will continue to dole out that poison month after month for year after year with no concern that their patient is now addicted.
Red, I am so sorry for your loss and I have said a prayer for you and your family.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. I knew a lady at a Salvation Army rehab place I worked at that was clean off heroin 364 days. She overdosed the day before she was set to graduate. I'll never forget the look of devastation on her 4 year old daughter's face. May God comfort you and your family.

In a roundabout way my first wife of 30 years died due to her opiod and alcohol addiction, prayers to your family RedSkeeter it's tough stuff. yes my 1st died from getting the patch & still taking the same other drugs i think the doctor did it on purpose over population control sorry for your loss Friend it may be better though

My good friend had been clean for 8 years, then one day hooked up with some dudes slangn in his GF apartment complex, she found him dead on the toilet with needle in his arm, heart stopped instantly, he always told me he was in recovery everyday, RIP my friend

I've had some friends who both kids OD on drugs. Buried one of my best friends this past spring due to Meth addiction. Prayers sent to you and your family

Sorry for your loss.
Have a BIL in prison now for herion. Family had prepared for the 2 consequences, death or prison. Luckily it was the latter. Gets out in about 2 years so we will see if he can stay clean.
