I would choose Cara if you can afford it. The new low riders aren't much less than the Caras now so you might as well spend a little more. If you are on a budget then the new Bucco SR are pretty nice. The actions are closer to the Cara than the original Buccos. The black handle Buccos are good rods but a little more moderate action. I have a whole bunch (40+) of Falcon rods so if you have a question on a specific model let me know. I have Falcon Expert (no longer made, maybe the best), Cara T7, Cara Reaction, Low Rider XG, Low Rider 20, Bucco, Bucco Micro, Bucco SR and Original.

Try Southwest Parts & Service. I've bought my last 4 or 5 Cara Amistads from Paul and Shane. If they don't have it in stock, they can get them in a few days.

Also check out Monster Fishing Tackle and Brannon's Bass Shop for Falcon rods. You can find some on Amazon too.

I love the Cara's but the Bucoo is the best bang for your buck IMO. I have mostly Bucoo's with a few Cara's thrown in there.

Cara T-7 or Cara Reactions series. I've never been fishing and said, dang, I wish I had bought a lesser rod.

Agree 100%. The Cara's are upper echelon across the board.

I throw Falcon HD's for chunkin Sassy's for Striper. Good work horse rods. But everything else I really like the Bucoos. That 6'10 finesse jig rod is a good all rounder. I like the Amistad too for a little heavier all rounder. I'm not a big fan of the medium's, though. Just not fast enough. imo.

Cara's are the best in my opinion. For the price, Lowriders or Bucco for sure.

I've gone back to Falcon 100% myself.

I have Caras, Lowriders, Jason Christie's, Buccoo's. Its all I use. Break it send it back and for $60 THEY SEND YOU A NEW ONE! Some are made in USA! Its all I use except for one KVD 7'11" for deep cranks.

I use all Falcons and have a mix of Caras & LowRiders. The LowRiders are used are primarily used for moving baits where sensitivity isn't as crucial (spinnerbaits, cranks, topwaters, etc.)

I am still fishing with two originals that I bought in the 90's. Quality rods for sure.
