Do you know the weight of the two boats, usually heavier boats rides better The older Champions, Rangers and Tritons that everyone called Leadsleds sure did ride good in rough water I'll disagree...21 Bullets and Allison's ride like a dream and are very light. My old Champ weighs 1350, dang sure nor heavy... and rides well.

The old Champions were light in my opinion. They rode great because of hull design. The 221 was listed as 1600lbs Spot on...my 201 is listed as 1350. Same reason buddy's 21 bullet rides so good.

Just trying to help him figure out why two of the same brand boats would ride different , and that's all I use to hear from my buddys that ran Skeeters in East Texas was how I should trade my 1950lb hull weight Triton on a new skeeter

Why I love my old Cajun ! My family down in south Louisiana have a couple of old Cajun Boats they still love and an old Pro Gator that has hit so many stumps the bottom of the hull looks like the surface of a golf-ball but it's still water tight

Weight plays a role in how a boat rides but not as much as hull design. My 980# Allison rode as well as my 1800# Triton. The sharp vee and the narrow front end of the Ally helps it slice thru waves like a hot knife thru butter. Fishability sucked however.

I love how everyone talks about how some boats ride so much better than others, there is a reason for that, ask me this, do you spend more time riding or fishing ? I like a boat that has a good combination of ride and fish well, along with looks and layout, there are several brands out there that do that well.

My dream boat would be to find a Rajun Cajun . But There is nothing wrong with mine so --- Will be using it next Sunday at The Bohemian at Whitney . Old 91 used to be a fish and ski with a walk thru windshield . I modified it just a little . She rides so smooth in rough water .
