I fished a Lund 1875 for 10 years. It was (is) a very good all around boat. Built like a tank and will take a lot of abuse. I traded it off for a Lund 2075 Pro V Bass style boat. Got lots more room, room and a better ride. Either way, you can't go wrong with a Lund. Yea, wish I had known you were replacing that Lund, I would have been pushing my way up the line to buy it... I have fished out of a number of the various guides center consoles and liked them very well, until my knees always decided to act up on the ride home...interestingly, I DONT have knee problems...then, I fished with fishing farmer out of his Lund, nary an issue...that is when I decided to try a Pro V style, and all I could find available was a Tracker, so I bought it....love that style boat....wind is not an issue, other than, I dont intend to sit and fish in it, when there are perfectly good coves or creeks to fish in...I actually have fished in heavy wind, I just tie up or anchor out...which I would do, regardless of the type boat I was using. I have fished in the wind in a Triton with DW, not bad windy, but windy enough to upgrade to larger Jigs, in open lake deep water pile conditions...without anchoring out...that is the day I fell in love with weedless jigheads! HA...oh yea, the triton had a 150, and was a nice boat, as Fiberglas boats go...and if I know DW, he probably worked his way into a good deal...

Thanks for all the responses. Thinking I may just end up trading in my old Ranger glass boat for a newer one.

I'll be putting my 2003 Alumacraft Tournament Sport 185 up for sale in the next 30 days...if you are looking for a big used deep-V. It has a 2003 Honda 130hp 4-stroke and 80lb Minn-Kota fortrex TM. Love it, but looking to get an even larger boat.

I've loved my Triton Magnum 185D. It's aluminum, but its hull weight is close to that of a fiberglass boat of the same size, and it's really performed well. Of course, it's a 2003, and the new Triton aluminums are nothing like it. I'll eventually get around to replacing it. A nice dependable newer boat seems like a good idea when you're getting pretty ancient yourself.......LOL. I'll likely get something lighter, probably with a smaller motor, but I'm not getting anything shorter than 18 feet. That seems to be the minimum length you need if you're going to run rough water. Have you decided what you're going to replace it with?

Ranger 681. When you fish for a living, you have to be able to manage all weather conditions. When all the other boats have gone, I can still hold in the high winds. I have 2 of the 681's and one 680 that I bought here on the forum for $2000. It has paid for itself many times over.
