The good news for Chase and anyone else doing the Sharelunker contest is that it appears that most Texas anglers either don't know, don't care, or are too cool to enter their fish. So inherently, his chances of winning are much higher.
There's free stuff for every fish entered and a $5k grand prize at stake...most of us do more for a lot less in the fishing world. I don't understand why people care about him entering fish into a legit contest. I don't care if he enters them in the contest. He can do whatever he wants with them. The part that i have a problem with is getting on here and calling them sal's. It's just an 8lber. Don't act like it's a giant. What is wrong with him posting eight pound fish that TPW is classifying as Sal's. This is a bass section and all Chase is doing is simply posting his fish. I will give him credit. He catches nice fish and he also explains how he does it. Chase has done noting wrong plain and simple. I would suggested if his post bother you simply do not read them! Just my two cents.

8lbers are giants in my book
Agreed Totally agree. But, SALs they AINT! Money fish....big girl.....pig.....hawg.....whatever you want...but NOT A SAL! I caught an 8.45 today......won another weekender and chunked the pig back in the lake at the ramp. That's what 8 pounders are for. I have a picture of it maybe Monday when the TD sends out results. It's just a big fish. Nothing more. Sorry. Edit. Actually caught two over 8 today....had to cull one. It was a slot lake. No pics of that one. What trail and lake?

I don't think most care about Chase posting videos, more power to him and keep on keepin on. Most have a problem with calling an 8 lb.'r a SAL. Is Chase within the new watered down rules to call it a SAL? Absolutely. It is his right. Keep doing it. What I think many have problems with is the "click bait" of calling it a SAL and then holding close to camera to make it look bigger. (come on, let's all be men and call it what it is, because it's obvious that's what going on), and they also have a problem with the new rules that are watered down so everyone gets a trophy. That's all. Everyone gets an opinion, and it's OK that everyone isn't singing his praises and telling him how awesome he is. Chase will keep doing what he does and life will go on. This is an open forum, there will be people who like what is said/done and those who have a problem with what is said/done. It's all good, and it's life. Just MHO

I don't mind the posting but the click bait SAL is a little much. Wasted way to much time even scrolling through this dang post.... When you have SAL in the title, PLEASE let it be a monster so I can oogle, congratulate, envy etc.........Otherwise, I get ticked off because I wasted my time on ANOTHER click bait BS post for a standard 8+ bass. I should know better by now but not mad, that's on me..
What trails do you fish Chase? That's what I want to see.....Where you stack up against the Texas sticks? No doubt you have the bass Moxy going for ya but really curious to the standings on the trails you fish versus every few days, catch an 8 when the water is fairly calm (in terms of competitors).
A MAN WILL NEVER GO TO HIS GRAVE WISHING HE'D FISHED LESS!!

This is what i think should happen... Lets have a online tourney... If your interested we can set a day and that morning everyone that wants do fish just to prove a point or for bragging rights. (because the majority that have commented on here act like 8lbers come everyday they are on the water...)<<lol BY THE WAY...can log on and we can wear white T-shirts with something (specific)hand written on it to prove that fish was caught that day. Then post it. Then we can see who can truly go out and catch a 8lber like its nothing. Pic of fish will have to be it on scales of course and a length pic to confirm scale was at least close to being zero'd. Its just a idea. Cause I know the majority on here are telling stories... and will continue to... I mean they are fishermen...right? lol

Waxahachie, Clark, and Joe Pool aren't exactly big fish factories like Athens and Fork.

Everyone would have the option to go to the best lake they know. If 8lbers are as easy as most here proclaim.... shouldn't be an issue... Should be able to catch a 8 from the water puddle in the front yard... so they claim....

If 8lbers were as easy as they say here... why wasn't there more weighed in by the 5000 people that fished the BBS on Rayburn? Let me guess...no one here wanted that BBS prize $$ either?? lol..8lber is a Giant.... No doubt about it.
