So I'm going to try to bait for catfish for the first time this weekend and have a few questions for you professionals.
I've read several post and articles about using range cubes and thought I would try those out. My first question is what do you put the range cubes in our do you just drop them in a spot? How long do you wait to come back and fish that spot? Is there a particular brand of cubes you like and why? What bait do you use when you come back to fish that hole? Thanks in advance!!!

he 20% range cubes will sink. Just throw out a coule of handfuls and give it 30 minutes or so. If you can do the same spot every day, that's even better.

Got a similar issue. I have a end slip in Lake Lewisville in a marina. Since November, I bought a 4" PVC irregation pipe with holes in which I pour 1 iced tea pitcher of range cubes every other day into. It's located on the end pf my slip at the enterance to the water. I also have some very milky soured maze I throw out whenever I'm actually trying to fish it. Again a pitcher full of maise. Am using Benny's sure shot, Danny King original, and CJ's Monster bait. I have a similar setup along the outer side of the slip where I have 2 jug lines with similar success. I have fished this morning, afternoon and earlynight with limited success though most are in the 2-3 lb range. I thought I should be consistantly catching multiple numbers by now but am only getting one here and there. Am I overfeeding or any ideas as to what's going on? Am using a rig a guide showed me for channels so that should be OK. Really stumped here.

If you can either quickly or quietly switch out shells, you can bring home almost anything.

I use about half a bag when I get there. If it's going to be several days before I get back, I pour out the rest of the bag when I leave. The more you bait a hole, the better it gets. I mainly fish Fork and only use Stubby's.

It's a Corp lake. No fish cleaning stations allowed. When you say 1/2 a bag, are you talking a 50# bag? If so, my pitchers every other day may not be enough to keep them interested.
