My gas tools like weed eaters, blowers, pole chainsaw, etc. always require maintenance. I take good care of them and use ethanol-free gas, but they all eventually develop a problem. I have an electric hedge trimmer that belonged to my dad. I think it's 30 years old and still running perfectly. There's no oil to worry about, no gas to buy and no carburetor to get gummed up. I'm thinking about moving to all electric/battery tools from now on, except for my zero turn mower. They just seem like less work and maintenance.

I use electric leaf blower and vacuum, buy used mowers from the guy in lone oak and use battery power for weed eating. I cannot keep gas motors running

I was anti for a LONG time, but have had the exact same trouble as you. Every time I tried to use my gas powered chainsaw it wouldn't start. Read a bunch of reviews and decided to try this one:

I admit I didn't go in with an open mind and fully intended to use it once then return it but I have to say, it really surprised me. It's not as fast as a gas-power, but much quieter and worked well. I think it's slower because there is only a tooth on every third link instead of every link of the chain. I worked for 2 hours and the battery only went down to half power. In the end, I ended up keeping it. It's way more reliable than the gas. If you're not a lumberjack it'll do whatever you need it to.

I have an electric chain saw, I rarely use one and gas stuff doesn't like sitting around. I have gas everything else cause I use the stuff like crazy. That's how I decide electric or gas.

Gas mower. Corded everything else.

I got tired of fighting 2 stroke weed Eaters so I bought an electric weed eater 7 or 8 years ago for about $40. I figured I would get a couple years out of it and then I would just throw it away and get another one but I�m still using it.

I like gas equipment. Makes me feel manly.

I have to use a blower a lot around here and bought a 4stroke model last year. Love it and it is so easy to crank. No more mixed gas/oil.

it's a pain. My Ryobi allows different attachments so I at least only have to keep one engine going.

looking at the new 40V trimmer is peeking my interest.

If they had a battery powered truck with a 500 mile range that would tow 12,000 pounds and was less than $50,000, I would buy it.

My preference is that they be used by persons other than myself. My SOL may ws and daughter weed eats. I watch movies.
