In Kansas City you can receive child support from a father not listed on birth certificate. She also lives in hud housing , lets her boyfriend live with her , received disability for a kid I had custody of. Wrap your head around that! According to social security only the receiver is allowed to know why a kids receiving disability even if there are 2 parents. I asked why she was getting money for him While I had custody , they said why arent you getting down here with paperwork. I laughed said you [censored] I seen this coming 2 years ago brought the paperwork when I got custody so she wouldnt scam you. Well now its up to me to get the money. Lol. You think I can get it? Didnt find this out till after custody papers were signed so whole new court case. Family court is a failure

I remember back 30 years ago my mom tried to convince my sister not to list her daughters father on the birth certificate , my mom said then he will have rights to her and can just leave with her. I remember it being my mom trying to screw the guy out of his rights to his daughter and my mom being vengeful. Of course my mom wanted her to go after him for support. I lost respect for my mom that day. But last laugh is on me and my sister. Shes been married to the same guy 30 years now. So all that hate was wasted. My mom has watch me struggle with kids moms and sometimes I wonder if its her karma effecting me. The system has created a hand down of generation to generation of how to screw men in court and the court has never changed laws so it just keeps going

Should be no benefits if there is no father.
Probably the best birth control we could come up with. Get rid of Child Support and watch the divorce rate drop

I call it, "Rewarding adults to have children they can't afford". A father's name should be required on every birth certificate. My son's first wife had a son before they married (another story). She had to choose between 5 sperm donors to decide which one got the honor of being named Dad.
He is truly a sick individual.

People use whatever tools they can to make more money. As far as for Welfare, I've heard the same stuff for decades standing at the mailbox delivering their mail.
But I've also heard from those who drive their trucks 1/10 of the time for their business and deduct 75 to 100 percent of the truck cost on their taxes. Many people falsify stuff to pay less or make more.
For Welfare they should require information on parents when funds are requested. Saying they don't know would mean 25 percent less would go a long way to put those names back on the birth certificates. But you could also put incentives into working and not taking Welfare by making free stuff allow no more than 80 percent of what a person would make with a full time job at minimum wage.
Its not the feds that make welfare so much of a lure. Its the states who add so much on to welfare.

That's awful. I had no idea it was that bad.
We really should reform the welfare system so that it doesn't encourage women to be more connected to the government than a spouse, and so that it doesn't reward the lack of a traditional family structure. Until then, you're going to continue to see more of this type of culture growing in our society.

Getting rid of all that mess would solve alot of issues. The Fed is gonna raise rates because of inflation and a chunk of it will be due to wage inflation because nobody can find workers, all the while a chunk of the population is sitting at home.

To answer the original ?
Educated people dont know about the scams so they have no problems putting the correct name on the birth certificate. But system workers are looking for every dime they can get for free. After all there entitled to it

Eliminate welfare, period. The government does not need to be in that business. End it now. Dont wait. Dont phase it out. Do it now.

I've never understood why the government simultaneously has a welfare program and job openings. If you have job openings, you shouldn't need a welfare program.
