I never got a chance to get an accurate count due to loosing Laners jig to a hangup. I now use a weedless wire jig from Redgun and I will report back when I no longer have the white hot I currently have on. BUT.....I would recomend not to hold your breath while waiting! https://constantpursuitoutfitters.com/product/white-hot/

You guys are amazing...catching that many fish on one jig would mean I would have to keep from breaking it off! I typically break off about 2-3 jigs per hour. weedless jig head and braid can solve that.

Gambler, it never ceases to amaze me, how cheap fishing can be, if you just use the right equipment! It all starts with the right hook, and line. Bronze sickles and braid for me...a bronze sickle, poured by Redgun, with a light wire weedguard, seems to last forever...I went from taking a dozen of each size jigheads down the creek bank, to taking one of each size...and coming back with all of them...including a stringer full of fish!

For artificials, I'll have to give to Lane's jig bodies for sure. But like David mentioned before, hand ties are a different ball game. I had one of "JigUm" Matthew Carroll's Electric Chickens that lasted me 2 seasons. No telling how many fish I caught on it or how many times I straightened that hook. I kept it laying in the front of the boat, and when things go slow I'd tie old reliable on just to mix things up. If I had to guess, I'd say that jig caught at least 200-300 crappie. I almost cried when I finally broke it off.
