None of what any of the googs put out has any kind of quality. Its all about making money, margins.
Their audience is the younger generation so they dont realize.

Dang guys they aint that bad. LOL
I do think there are probably better options in the same price range but I don't think they are complete junk. Now to be totally honest I haven't used one but I did run across the display at Cabelas a few months ago and played with them in the store and they didn't seem like complete junk like this thread would lead us to believe.
Serious question: Who here that has said they are junk has actually used one?

I have handled one, though I wouldn't pay for one to use it.

We have multiples of every brand mentioned here. And then some. Except Favorites. Never heard of them b4 today.
Best - POWER TACKLE
Favorite -Duckett White Ice

I bought a batch of used rods from a guy about 7 months ago and one of them was a Favorite. It's the 7'4" MH Big Sexy I believe. As far as quality it's competitive with other rods in its price range. No issues with durability and sensitivity is good. The reel seat sits a little farther forward than expected creating a longer handle. From the reel forward it's the same length as all my 7' rods. That took some getting used to. I use it for smaller swimbaits and haven't bad a problem.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Youtubers! I think they're pretty fun to watch and if anything, encourage the younger generation to get out and fish/do something with their life. But lets face it, Favorite Rods are just a marketing product for the YouTubers.. Get something tried and true.... Falcon, Dobyns, Castaway

Serious question: Who here that has said they are junk has actually used one? I actually purchased one of the Lunkers models, only to get it home and realize it was a two piece rod (returned it). I would compare the quality of these with the lower to mid range 13 fishing rods. I think the color schemes on these are eye catching and grab the buyers attention...not me tho.

You have to take that with a grain of salt. Somebody who is getting money and products from a company will praise the company until they stop receiving products/money.

Lets not forget Favorite rods are also used by Mark Daniels Jr, Brian Latimer, and David Dudley to mention a few. But hey, who are those guys....... All 3 of those guys are great fisherman. But remember, pro's change sponsors like the weather changes. They go on money and product. I actually know a few guys repping products they don't even use. It's part of the pro game these days. But as far as the rods go, I base my opinion by actually having the rods in my hand. Not word of mouth. No matter what the rod is, when I pick it up and feel the flex, tip, and balance....I know if its a good rod and if I want to buy it. And Im telling you, my opinion are these rods are built very cheap and they feel that way. There is prolly more money spent in the packaging than on the rods. They need to be sold in Toys R Us, not tackle stores. But just look at the feedback here, and its the same on other sites, BBC, etc. Almost all negative. There are thousands of people on this site. This thread has over 1000 views and lots of comments, and I think there is 1 somewhat positive comment. That should tell you something. Most opinions are from guys that have been up and down the road in this industry and are trying to get the guy a good quality rod in his hand for squarebills. Im personally a Falcon guy with Power Tackle an easy 2nd. But there are about 10 other manufacturers Id tell him that work great as well. Hope he finds the rod hes looking for.
