Grass is always greener on the other side. Or: The bass are always bigger on the other side. [/quote]
Now that one I forgot about ---

I have fished on the other side of the boom every time Ive been out there the last month and a half (probably 10 times). Im in a 22ft bass boat and havent had any problems crossing whatsoever. Have seen other people struggle but its really quite simple. Always do a lot better back there than anywhere else on the lake. I fish that lake very often and dont see the big deal about it. Think people just over react too much. Just go have fun and catch fish. Theres hardly any salvinia on that side of the lake anyway. Im sure theres a 100 times greater chance of a bird spreading that stuff than a boat.

BUT .... I'm sure your are right about the 100 x by bird thing comment & that people are over reacting ---- especially the TPWD & their biologists. I'm sure they do not have a clue about what is best for the lake or the spreading of the weed. ...... I think the "rebel" reason is a much better reason.

Texas parka and wildlife is doing a great and if they had a huge concern about boat sledding then they would eliminate access back there dont ya think? As far as fishing back there Im referring to this short time of the year. I have been fishing that lake for a long time and know it like the back of my hand for the most part. I do a lot better in other places at certain times of the year but I sure love behind the bridge this time of year.
