mercs need water pump every year ---clean poppet vavle --plugs -filters -lower unit
good to go

Do you guys run anything on a regular basis through the fuel?? like treatment.... I've seen Scott Martin and a few other guys running Starbrite I think it was or something else.

I run either Stabil or Biobore (Whichever is handy when I run out) in every tank of fuel.
Being a Merc, there is a cocktail that a lot of the guys run in every tank too.

To the OP, Change your engine and lower unit oil every year. Change your fuel separator every 6 months. Check batteries every 3 months. I flush after each trip and look at changing the water pump every 2-3 years. And Simple Green works for me keeping everything clean. I am pretty sure a 2 stroke motor doesn't have "engine oil", that's why you have to premix oil in your gas.

Stabil blue every fill up, keeps the ethanol in check, water pump impellar annually, tire pressure frequently, batteries at least monthly, bearings annually, brakes annually, I dont believe in messing to much with gear case, seems every time you open it it becomes easier to get water in the system, IMO. Engine tune-up check annually. These are just a few of my favorite things.

Nice rig! I have had good luck with 3M products. The 3M Vinyl cleaner for the seats and thier paste wax have performed well for me over the years.
And I know who "Jeff" is.

Many good tips! I like Lucas products, but often will use just windex and a paper towel for clean up. Then follow up with Lucas spray. Has held up for 23 years and the I'm often told how great the boat looks.
