Drill (3) 3" holes in the back on each side, put PVC thru them so water does not get into the top cap, and you just made it a self baler, problem solved. Might hurt the resale though!

My BassCat Eyra does it, as did my old Nitro 896. Neither would come all the way up to the passenger area but would soak half the deck. I simply blip the throttle as the boat settles off plane and there is no issue. Most boats will do this to some extent unless the operator is cognizant and modifies his driving style to alleviate the issue.

My old BassCat 1993 Pantera II, 2005 Cougar and current 2012 Cougar do this. Just feather down or goose it a little to keep in front of the wave and you will be fine.

Rather than just taking your foot out of the gas, trim it down and take your foot out slowly. Continue to trim down as the boat sits down and see if it eliminates the issue.

No you chop the throttle and when the wake catches up to you give it a little throttle...Learn how to drive. Well, learn your boat. Sounds like you are. All transom/boats are different. My Ranger will wet the rear deck if I go off plane from WOT throttle to COMPLETELY shut off. Not a problem though. I just dont do it!

Should have just bought a Ranger. Agree, they don't go fast enough to create that issue. (one more for ya Jim) My 920 would do the same thing if I let it- along with just about every other boat I've owned. Just bump that hotfoot before it hits you.

Had a new to me 2016 phoenix 920 for about 2 weeks so far, and for the most part its lived up to the hype. My only complaint so far is that anytime I sit it down I have the feather it down or I will have water roll up all the way to my back. Never had this issue in my triton. I could go from WOT to stop in my triton and never had water come over the back. Do any of you guys in other brands experience this? This is pretty common with most bass boats (not a skeeter due to the sponsons on the transom). Most of the boats I have owned did this. It is worse if you have three guys in the boat, livewells full and 50 gals of gas. You just have to learn to anticipate it and give it a little gas right after you set her down. After a few outings you will do it without thinking about it.

No you chop the throttle and when the wake catches up to you give it a little throttle...Learn how to drive. This is the definitive answer.

every bass boat I've ever owned would slosh water over the transom if you let off the gas too quick...as several have mentioned, give it a little gas to get ahead of that wave trying to come over transom....
