The lake was high and they all fished flooded willows. It wasn't rocket science.

They also had tons of help from locals , you don't see ribbons tied all over trees showing where they can run for no reason

I was always curious about that. Wondered how they covered that much of the lake without losing a dozen lower units. Wish I would have been up there to take pics of the ribbons haha. I stay clear of the timber myself unless I'm at idle. Don't think my purchasing coordinator would go for that steep of a repair with a toddler at home.....

It always amazes me no one ever talks about the devastation done by hybrids and striper. Whitney, Richland Chambers, Ray Roberts, large lakes, lots of cover, few bass. Full of hybrids and striper. Hasnt the bass fishing on Texoma gotten better since huge numbers of striper washed over the spill way. Hybrids dont eat bass fry, right.

Could be wrong but don't think RR has any Striper and only a hand full of hybrids. They do have a bunch of sandies.

Ray Roberts doesn't have hybrids or stripers but if you look back we've griped about sandbass a ton.

Those pros didn't need ribbons, they ran wherever they wanted.

Ray Roberts doesnt have hybrids? Lake record hybrid at RR is 7.45. Definitely full of hybrids.

I saw a few of them driving like there were no stumps, from Walling hump to the 922 bridge and right down the middle. They have sponsors, they simply don't care if they tear it up.

Hybrid striped bass are produced two different ways. Some of these fish are produced by fertilizing eggs from white bass with sperm from striped bass; the resulting fish are also called "sunshine bass" or "Cherokee bass". Others are produced by fertilizing eggs from striped bass with sperm from white bass; the resulting fish is called a "palmetto bass". Ray Roberts is full of sunshine bass, the smaller of the the two, yet still plenty big enough to decimate bass fry and the overall population of largemouth.

It's full of sandbass though but I don't think we have a reasonable population of hybrids. Maybe a few someone through in.

Again could be wrong but only 3 or 4 hybrids have been caught from the lake in the last few years period. So not full of hybrids.
