RIP Guido. A true gentleman in the sport of Bass Fishing.

First Bass pro I ever met , with his son. He was so nice he could have been my next door neighbor. His easy demeanor seemed genuine. May he rest in peace.

Very sad day in bass fishing to me. Guido was a Pioneer of the sport. It is only fitting that a legend passes on the eve of the classic where he can be honored! I grew up watching the likes of Guido, Clunn, Denny Braur, Stacey King, Larry Nixon, Randy Dearman, Tommy Martin, Bo Dowden, Roland Martin, etc. and watched the young guns like Van Dam, Faircloth, Jay Yelas, etc. try to compete with these guys. We lost Ken Cook a few months ago and now Guido. I hope Dion decides to resurrect his career and get back to the top level, to carry the Hibdon name. If not Dion's kids probably will. A truly legendary fishing family along with Stella who was also a mainstay on the circuits. Guido you have left a legacy of fans who truly are grassroots fisherman that dream of getting to where you were. RIP to a true legend and pioneer of bass fishing.
