Grandpa, do you have other conditions, like diabetes, COPD, etc? Even allergies, especially at this time of the year, when everything is blooming, could make it hard to breathe, and then your body isn't getting enough O2 which could be the cause of the restlessness. That BP is making your heart work way too hard and it seems like it's trying to compensate for something.

Best bet is go to the ER cuz nobody here can nail it down via internet.

Yes I have all those conditions including COPD. Nothing in the post suggested anything about breathing.

You got that right. Don't know why I even bother. Seems like anything I post anymore just stirs up a bunch of negative comments.
So ok, I apologize for mentioning anything about my health in this forum
Rest assured it will never happen again.

WAWI is correct, the Tramadol can cause restlessness and insomnia. You might want to talk to your NP and pharmacist you see if there's something they can switch you to.

And WAWI takes bp medicine and can assure you that if I'm taking it as directed and my numbers were that high between doses WAWI would be sitting at er and get it figured out.

something is wrong...if your blood pressure medicine was prescribed in the right strenght, your blood pressure would not be that high between dosages.....suggest you see a doctor as soon as possible to get this corrected....

From personal experience i would say yes, it could cause restlessness. Since being diagnosed with high BP a year and a half ago and now having it well under control i can most definately notice a difference, i'm calmer during the day and sleep way better at night. I also got diagnosed with type 2 at the same time and getting that under control helped as well

I only asked because like I said, sometimes if your brain and body isn't getting enough O2 that can be the source of restlessness. Do you have a pulse oximeter? That would help ya out too. Good luck with it.

Take an 81 mg Aspirin a day....it helps along with your meds.
Do you take Lasix? If not, look into that when you see you PCP.
