Is it good to fish at firewheel parkway near Rowlett Creek this weekend?

I fished there yesterday, was there from 4-6 exploring and fishing a little. Water was very muddy, current seemed about average. I was throwing some jr. flukes looking to catch sandies but didn't get a bite, only thing caught around me was channel cats on the bottom. Also the banks were like quick sand

Is very dirty watar and muddys. But I catch 3crappies today and 1 catfish. The crappies tasted so good.

What is the best way to cook the large mouth crappie? I was told they need to be soaked in brine underground with cabbage and habanero pepper for a week or two.

Turnbow, with all the rain we had and rain coming today it could be dangerous as well. I slid in the creek several years ago even wearing baseball cleats. We need a little sun and heat to dry it out.
